Rainstorm is a she gale but let's better wait for the president to speak tonight and then debate about what he said.

I'm still thinking that even after tonights speech by Bush that there are things to be done alot more before any war gets kicked off. Trust me, I know we are deploying more and getting more and more readied, but I have a gut feeling that we will not go to war this week with them. I hope I'm right.

I don't agree Rob. I think we have more than enough there to get the job done. I think we will go this week.

Rob you want more delays to favor Saddam?

Not going to happen because after the inspectors go out by early tommorow and also press and other people then war will begin by 48-72 hours with the moonlight almost full.

I'm not favoring anyone. And no one here knows whats going to happen....even after Bush outlines a declaration for war...we still wouldnt know when we'll strike them.

I don't favor war in general, no one in their right mind does. However sometimes we have to fight to protect the freedoms we love. Saddam has been given every opportunity to disarm peacefully and has refused. Time for talk is over IMO

Still, I think we shouldve gotten to Bin Laden before all of this crap surfaced and took off. We need to prioritize simple issues. Saddam will always be an ass when we press his buttons, and Osama bombed us a year and a half ago. I think we should have gotten him and worry about Saddam later. Think about it...its been 12 years now with Saddam...whats another 2 or 3?

Rob 2-3 more years with Saddam out there making more WMD???????????

2-3 more days for his death or capture.

Why give him more time after 12 years that he hasn't complied with any of the past 17 resolutions.

Luis...I'm just stating that we left Osama on the backburner as Iraq isnt posing a threat like Afghanistan did 1.5 yrs ago.

Later?? How much later?? Like maybe after he uses the bios and nukes?? After he has killed thousands?? When?? Im just curious as to just how long we should wait?? Clinton waited on Osama.. How did that turn out?

And as far as not wanting sadam to be exiled..... I can guarantee you even if he were to leave, he would be delt with... This would be a victory for the usa, not a defeat... We would then be able to destroy the weapons, save iraq from the state they are in, and more important then all other reason, we will be able to do it without having to kill inocent people...

I thought it was interesting to see this commercial on tv where this guy said "what did the terrorists do to US (America) before 9/11", he said this to try and show that they did nothing before they attacked us and that is his reason for supporting the war. But then i heard a pretty hilarious rebuttal on tv last night. They said before 9/11 they blew up two embassies...the US Cole...a soldier bunker place in Saudi Arabia that they bombed...and WTC I. I never thought about that when i watched the commercial, but it makes that commercial supporting the war sound really Idiotic. I'm still for getting saddam out just b/c of his apparent genocide of the Kurds etc, but what has he done to us?

Yeah but think about it....when have you seen thousands killed from Saddam? How about those chemicals.....have we seen those either? NO. Thats a little exaggerated in thinking that we need to take Saddam out after 12 years of play time NOW opposed to doing it sooner. Why now?

Just because he is making pledges like always? Osama bombed us, Saddam just talks alot of hot air for attention. Get the facts....Afghanistan's leader attacked us and Saddam gets attacked for what he claims to say.

Oh well...I'm not in the war, so I'm just a spectator like the rest, but I dont see why we need to put our military up against a person who just wont go down lightly and just costs more and more money to fight these idiots.

On top of that we have to help the other poor bastards over there who grow up not knowing right from wrong and seek our guidance, only to possibly become terrorists and flip the coin later. Its a big power game, but I still think that Saddam is weak for the most part and isolated and not a threat to our mainland.

Osama proved that we are vulnerable and we didnt get him either, probably never will. So what will going after Saddam solve for us? That we can 'disarm' him? Big deal...he's got more crap buried and enough finances to do this over and over again...what does it take?

We will be killed trying to kill one man and someone else is waiting for that to happen over there as well, so they can step up to the plate. This is a vicious cycle and will never end, no matter how long we live.
