Speaking of vegetables...there's 2 salad buffet restaurants here in the Triangle area one in N. Raleigh and in Cary called Sweet Tomato...also soups, plain cheese pizza, variety of muffins and great desserts! :) Desserts for ie.--
one is called Chocolate Lava Cake...kinda like a broken up brownie smothered in fudge sauce...and also banana and tapioca puddings...although,
the banana kinda reminds my Mom and I of "baby food" like Gerber strained bananas...but still good. :)

Correct!! I love the Salad bar at Ruby Tuesdays. YUM!

Linda, believe me girl, I have heard every Lorena Bobbit joke known to man kind lol...... and sorry Miss Mary.. I catch myself now that our store is gone wanting to go back and cut my own ! Yup Furry, we sure did! Good memory !

I am one of three daughters, somehow I managed to be the only one that Dad taught...thing of it was tho, he is left handed ( hes known as Lefty ) sooo everything he taught me I had to turn about..so I can do it either way. I'll tell you what tho, with it being typically a male oriented job, I had to try harder to prove myself. When people would come in wanting an inch thick t-Bone they would always go straight to one of my male co-workers.....took a while. I made it and it got to the point where loyal customers would ask for me :) Was hard work...but I learned so much from my Dad and that will be with me till the day I die.

My sister and I were pregnant about the same time... Our kids are 6 months apart.... I worked on top of a band saw all day, she worked up front running a cash register. When our kids were born, we would take them in to see everybody ......we'd go to the meat dept. ....when the saw started my niece would freak- lol My son never flinched, he was used to the sound. I would go in to help out when someone was off and lay him in a shopping cart, he'd sleep right thru it lol

Mary, I think you're right....words would flow :) Take care guys

T - thanks for the 101 on Meat Cutting. Please don't be offended now as I go find a carrot to munch on. LOL Even though I was cringing at your son not minding the sound, as I was cringing, LOL I enjoyed your wordy post. You should do that more often!

Kelly, I say #1 is a lie.

You most likely did the "Canterbury Tales" thing during the Texas Renaissance Festival. However, part of me is skeptical about that because you seem too conservative for that type of behavior (not that everyone who does the TRF is into all that other stuff).

lol Amanzi...you and duckie are right. I've never been in a Barney video! The Canterbury thing was in high school. We all dressed up and traveled to Canterbury (the Coca-Cola company) and had a picnic there once we arrived. It took a few hours and local news aired us and then talked to some of us once we arrived. I was one of them. lol

Yep, I could have been on The O'Reilly Factor and kick myself every once in a while. I had sent an email to O'Reilly to possibly be read at the end of the show...it was during the sniper situation and regarding parents wanting to keep their children home from school. I told him that I agreed with him often but that he wasn't very compassionate toward parents who were scared for their kids. I said that their instinct kicks in and protecting their children becomes far more important than appearing brave for the killers, etc. and I commented that he probably wouldn't read my letter. Anyway, I got an email from Keri Ellor on his staff with a phone number asking me to call. She sent the email about 6am and it was afternoon some time before I got it. She said they wanted me to come on the show as a guest to give my views. It would have been aired via satellite I assume from the local Fox affiliate. I called too late and they had already found someone else. The worst part...I had been on my computer earlier in the day and just didn't check my email. :(
I still have her email. lol
I had to settle for my letter being read on the show and saw the person who was in MY seat! hehe
