Linda, believe me girl, I have heard every Lorena Bobbit joke known to man kind lol...... and sorry Miss Mary.. I catch myself now that our store is gone wanting to go back and cut my own ! Yup Furry, we sure did! Good memory !
I am one of three daughters, somehow I managed to be the only one that Dad taught...thing of it was tho, he is left handed ( hes known as Lefty ) sooo everything he taught me I had to turn about..so I can do it either way. I'll tell you what tho, with it being typically a male oriented job, I had to try harder to prove myself. When people would come in wanting an inch thick t-Bone they would always go straight to one of my male co-workers.....took a while. I made it and it got to the point where loyal customers would ask for me

Was hard work...but I learned so much from my Dad and that will be with me till the day I die.
My sister and I were pregnant about the same time... Our kids are 6 months apart.... I worked on top of a band saw all day, she worked up front running a cash register. When our kids were born, we would take them in to see everybody ......we'd go to the meat dept. ....when the saw started my niece would freak- lol My son never flinched, he was used to the sound. I would go in to help out when someone was off and lay him in a shopping cart, he'd sleep right thru it lol
Mary, I think you're right....words would flow

Take care guys
Tracy
