Heinz-Kerry tells reporter to "Shove it!" (?)
After calling for a "positive campaign", Teresa Heinz-Kerry was asked by a conservative reporter to clarify what she meant by "un-American", and he was answered with "Shove it!" by the potential First Lady....???

asked by a conservative reporter
And we're supposed to take this 'reporters' word for it... Let's hear it on tape, buddy.
She's far from trailer-trash, Soldier. What she is is 'Step-Money'.
Actually I think it's sweet that she has a second chance at love after losing what was probably the love of her life when Senator Heinz was killed in that plane crash.

This woman comes across as sooooo arrogant. She looks sleepy during her husband's speeches, fusses over the Edwards children, and generally detracts from the message that Kerry is trying to convey.
Whether you like or dislike Kerry, it seems obvious to me that she does nothing for their campaign and everything to hamper it.

Neither of the two are acceptable. Just because she is a BUSH doesn't make it acceptable and what Kerry's wife did was just as bad. BTW many of our members live in trailers and don't get welfare. Poor choice of words IMHOstreetsoldier wrote:After calling for a "positive campaign", Teresa Heinz-Kerry was asked by a conservative reporter to clarify what she meant by "un-American", and he was answered with "Shove it!" by the potential First Lady....???

The voice of reason. Good post.
It's no worse than Dick Cheney

I agree with you Johnathan,
Good people can live in trailers and not be "trailer trash." Not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to buy their own homes. At least they are not throwing their money away on rent. And no I don't live in a trailer but I do have friends that do. And they are good people who work for a living and are not on welfare.
And I have been in trailers that have more features than some homes.Quite beautiful.

It's not like 'flipping the birdie' or worse towards 'em.
THERE is a DIFFERENCE there folks, IMHO.

IMO, I thought it was a "catty" gesture and if the truth were known I bet her parents gave her a good talking to about it. She is the President's dtr. ( a college grad) and should have used better judgement.

Miss Mary
You know I made a flip comment to my brother-in-law once, an exec with Hewlett Packard. We were all on a family reunion and I stated our cabin shower stall moved as we showered - I said it was like standing inside a portalet or in a trailer trying to get a decent shower. He looked me dead in the eye and said - my parents live in a trailer! I said oh. He said it was a very nice trailer and then and there, I decided my way of thinking about trailer's had to change. I should add my brother-in-law makes a ton of money, I'm sure he could buy his parents a house but they prefer living in the country in their trailer. And he respects that. So thanks Johnathan for giving your opinion on the matter. It's how I feel also. You won't hear me saying anything derogatory about trailers! Sure learned my lesson that day.
