Heinz-Kerry tells reporter to "Shove it!" (?)

#1 Postby streetsoldier » Mon Jul 26, 2004 9:21 am

After calling for a "positive campaign", Teresa Heinz-Kerry was asked by a conservative reporter to clarify what she meant by "un-American", and he was answered with "Shove it!" by the potential First Lady....???

Just what we don't need; another rich "trailer-trash" First Lady in the White House. :grrr:

And then all crap hit the fan when Jenna Bush playfully sticked out her tongue last week at some media members.

At least she didn't get verbal and tell a media member to "Shove it!"

asked by a conservative reporter

And we're supposed to take this 'reporters' word for it... Let's hear it on tape, buddy.

;)

She's far from trailer-trash, Soldier. What she is is 'Step-Money'.

Actually I think it's sweet that she has a second chance at love after losing what was probably the love of her life when Senator Heinz was killed in that plane crash.

This woman comes across as sooooo arrogant. She looks sleepy during her husband's speeches, fusses over the Edwards children, and generally detracts from the message that Kerry is trying to convey.

Whether you like or dislike Kerry, it seems obvious to me that she does nothing for their campaign and everything to hamper it.

It's very believable, coming from the wife of John Kerry.

What an idiot. I've always found there to be something weird about her.

Neither of the two are acceptable. Just because she is a BUSH doesn't make it acceptable and what Kerry's wife did was just as bad. BTW many of our members live in trailers and don't get welfare. Poor choice of words IMHO

The voice of reason. Good post.

It's no worse than Dick Cheney

I agree with you Johnathan,
Good people can live in trailers and not be "trailer trash." Not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to buy their own homes. At least they are not throwing their money away on rent. And no I don't live in a trailer but I do have friends that do. And they are good people who work for a living and are not on welfare.
And I have been in trailers that have more features than some homes.Quite beautiful.

Again, Jenna stuck out her tongue in a playful manner to the media.

It's not like 'flipping the birdie' or worse towards 'em.

THERE is a DIFFERENCE there folks, IMHO.

I just found it strange that, after speaking to the good people of Pennsylvana about "positives", she fires off this one when questioned in-depth...i.e., she actions speak louder than her stated ideals.

BTW, I lived in a trailer too, once...and didn't care for the "neighborhood" at all.

IMO, I thought it was a "catty" gesture and if the truth were known I bet her parents gave her a good talking to about it. She is the President's dtr. ( a college grad) and should have used better judgement.

You know I made a flip comment to my brother-in-law once, an exec with Hewlett Packard. We were all on a family reunion and I stated our cabin shower stall moved as we showered - I said it was like standing inside a portalet or in a trailer trying to get a decent shower. He looked me dead in the eye and said - my parents live in a trailer! I said oh. He said it was a very nice trailer and then and there, I decided my way of thinking about trailer's had to change. I should add my brother-in-law makes a ton of money, I'm sure he could buy his parents a house but they prefer living in the country in their trailer. And he respects that. So thanks Johnathan for giving your opinion on the matter. It's how I feel also. You won't hear me saying anything derogatory about trailers! Sure learned my lesson that day.

I lived in a 14 x 70 "trailor" which I bought for 24,000 and sold 3 years later for 42K. The master bathroom with the garden tub, separate shower, and double sinks, blows away my 70's tiled itsy bitsy bathroom I now have! :)
