Radar eye like feature

Looking at the Charleston radar loop, all I can say is wow. Sure isnt very clear, but there is an area of lower reflectivity surrounded by a ring of more intense convection

Take a look at the Jacksonville Radar Loop, it looks even more impressive:

http://www.srh.noaa.gov/radar/loop/DS.p20-r/si.kjax.shtml

I would expect the recon to find a strong tropical storm when they get there, probably winds of 60mph and pressure around 1000mbs. I think the system has a good shot of becoming a hurricane during the next 24 hours when it will be right under the ULH. Witness that now better developed LLC sitting on top of the VERY warm Gulf Stream waters and you know what that means....business!

So did the rest of us.... Actually, there could be one......Developing.... Look at any radar in the SE vicinity, and you'll see a pretty good spin going on... http://www.srh.noaa.gov/radar/loop/DS.p ... kjax.shtml

Is that the mid level circulation or the low level? Regardless, impressive.

Recon down to 992 mb, you may have your Hurricane by tonight, or sooner.

Wow...

Pressure 992mb! That'a about the threshold for hurr. strength. Definately a more symetric system, Jim Cantore will probably be very excited in his live shots    although this storm is forecasted to stay offshore

Looks on SAT like its starting a NE movement...... unless that is just the storm expanding over the LLC IDK...... i do think it will stay offshore though

Looking like fish bait now. wonder if Cape Fear will even feel any effects?

Won't be the first time for something like this.
