Brazilians must be seething

Who was that total idiot who messed up Brazil's chance at the gold medal in the Olympic marathon? :x

As far as I'm concerned, the winner should give him the medal as a gesture.

I saw that idiot push the Brazilian runner into the crowd....hope they make him run in place the rest of his life. That was so totally uncalled for. It seems though that he was happy with the bronze...did you see him run into the stadium with his arms up?

They said he was a defrocked Irish priest and that last year, he did the same thing on a race car track. They showed footage of that too. Incredible nutcase!

I'd just kick him as he was coming toward me and continue on.

Great sportsmanship on the Brazilian's part.

And he was awarded for it. :D

I'm glad the IOC awarded the Brazilian with the Sportsmanship medal... he deserved it for what the crazed Irish priest did to him.

I'm gonna find the story and place it in "The Stupid Crimes and Misdemeanors" thread. Glad that the Brazilian won a medal. May not be gold, but it's better than no medal at all.

As for that crazed intruder, I wonder how many times in different places he has disrupted the races.

And he thinks the end of the world is coming while the races are going? Pretty please!
