In my seventeen years of life I have not been through a hurricane, not even a tropical storm; except when Hurricane Irene moved through Havana, but because it was during the night, and the winds neither the rain where strong, I didn't feel it. But this time looks to be different, the storm is several times stronger and larger. Like I always say, "Lets hope for the best, and prepare for the worse".

If the "winds and rain" were not that strong, you were probably not "in" the hurricane but maybe on the outskirts, Believe me, there is a huge difference. A hurricane carries winds of 75+mph so you wouldn't have just missed it. Don't let that deter you from understanding the sheer power of a hurricane, especially a cat 4 (or should I even hesitate to say cat 5?)
