So Norcross said she was just going through another cycle??

That would make sense since there's no reason the pressure should be going up this high other than that

It looks like she's doing what she did yesterday around this time and every preceiding day before.

To my eye she does not seem to be weakening. Yes, she was ragged today morning, and still wobbling badly, but she has impressive (and wide!) convection.

I can't believe the pressure is up what, 13 mb today...

I do believe it's just an eyewall phase though...as all the evidence points to that.

The only question I have is...


How strong will she get when she comes back in intensity, probably overnight tonight?

The latest ERPs haven't raised the pressure 13 mb. I'll take any good sign right now.

Yes... let's hope she does weaken, as opposed to getting stronger once eyewall replacement is done! We need a miracle here folks... Keep praying!

The more it weakens, the lesser chances of Florida getting totally destroyed. Lets' hope it weakens some more.

Gonna be interesting to see what they say at 5 pm.....


Conditions are perfect for further intensification tonight and tomorrow, so maybe a miracle is in store.

Certainly people should be prepared for a Cat 4 though....can't let the guard down down there at all!

if you have been following the storm for last few days before it got north of pr and the islands, we have seen waning and strenghting of the system, overnight seems to be when she gets together better.
