all those prayers from S.Fla.must be having an effect on Frances seems to be turning!

not so sure about wobble, if you take the 1245z loop to current 1615z loop its more like a 305 degree course than earlier 290. That is almost 4 hrs. But for consideration of wobbles I'll give it another 2 hrs before I call a definate nw course, which is taking s fla more and more out of the picture, if that happens.

You need to worry about a turn BACK to more west, as Frances gets closer to the ridge axis.

That's actually what the GS and ETA are showing.

No one in SFL should be letting their guard down until Frances is N of their latitude.

once it gets past 25.5 or 26 n mia and fll can breath a little easier, unless it moves back west sharply. Haven't seen that in last 4 hrs.

At least a full degree north! given the size of this storm. I always told my mom at 26.9N that 27 was the magic number for W or NW bound storm. However, if I recall, that was during Erin. I told her 28/80 might be the difference between house and no house. Every inch counts.

heading: 295 exactly (per trigonometry...ah 8th grade...finally coming up strong)
