look at the dot in the eye and then the eastern side of eyewall.

no ...it isnt moving north...what it seems to be is that your "dot" appears to be going north becuase the dot..in fact..is going north...it seems to just be riding around the circulation..and well..circulation goes north on the east side...and south on the west...so the dot may be on the east side of the circulation...if you look at the eye as a whole or you look at some stationary refrence point like a city name or something you can see the eye as a whole is moving west...although there may be individual cells riding north or south or east or west around the circulation....

Al: It's 49 miles from W. Palm to Ft. Pierce.
I have this great website that can determine distances between any two points. It looks kind of wierd when it comes up because it's from Bali but it work worldwide.
