Ivans track next week
what are the factors that will be in play next week for ivan. What will we be looking at to try and decide if he will turn north and go up the coast or turn west and go into the GOM??

There's going to be a weakness in the ridge that will cause Ivan to turn WNW and then NW by mid to late week, but beyond 5 days, I really don't want to speculate. We'll know more as the days go on.

Ivan's track next week.
:?:
Looks like Ivan will be near Cuba in about 5 days; correct? That far out are there any weather influences that might effect the storm and recurve it to the north as a fish storm?
Some were saying just a few days ago that Ivan might make it into the GOM. Any chance of that still today or will Ivan more than likely become another fish storm?

Big_steve...i think right now the general consensus is that we dont know for sure what it will do...especially that far out. just by looking at the forecast track it looks very possibl that it will have some effect on the US (or fish) somewhere and not so much the GOM..but again...that far out anything can happen...
