It looks like Jeanne now has a distinct eye. Does anyone know how to get hold of the output from the FSU super-ensemble model. All the information from the NOAA sites infer that this model has been giving the most accurate predictions for Charley, Frances and Ivan.

redirectedenergy - all I know is that the NHC discussions are saying their track is to the right of the FSU model, which doesn't put my mind at ease...

It's incredible.... the last two frames show an eye just opening right up! I wouldn't be surprised to see Cat 1 by 11PM..

Incredible radar. Yes, it looks like an eye and I also think they are underestimating the power and strength of this storm. I thought she would have deteriorated after coming over PR.

Big question is wether the ridge wil extend west to keep it on a WNW course after 48 hours, or will DT and JB eat crow. Models have shifted right but that may change again. DTs last comment was that it shouldn't make it north of 30N without a bend toward the west. Joe B has it going into the GOM, then LA. I'm siding toward DT, but not the extreme left like JB. We'll see.

Has anyone heard from any of our friends in PR? I don't see any of them on line right now. Condition may be preventing them from access. I know last night Cycloneye said he was moving and might not be online for a while.

My aunt lives on a house boat on the ocean just off easter Puerto Rico. She says she's fine now but was bounced around a lot!

What? How could he possible know that already? The NHC looks like it has Jean more of a threat to the Carolinas. I don't think it will get in the gulf. But, maybe we should keep our boards up just in case.

It looks like Jeanne didn't want to get dashed to pieces over the DR mountains - earlier, I thought she might.
