Anyone Notice?

#1 Postby FLLuckyAgain » Wed Sep 22, 2004 7:25 pm

Besides for Vortex that 4 models including the GFS,GFDL,NOGAPS, and ETA now have Jeanne making landfall in Central to SFL? This situation will put a fear in many Floridians spines when the 11:00 Advisory rolls around.. Am I wrong?

ETA is bad IMO tropically.. so I'd throw it out.

GFDL is run off the GFS.. so bascially they would show some things that are the same

the NOGAPS.. well it was the last model besides the ECMWF to come into agreement with Ivan's first landfall.

ALL IS IMO! :P

The difference between the models shown at the time of the 5 PM advisory and what I saw at 8 PM were STARTLING.

From NO models showing a landfall in Central or South Florida to a bullseye of 3 models is a HUGE shift.

Very curious to see the 11 PM.......

I agree FCI, stunned is the word! Even Ort seemed to wanted to bring it closer. I dont worry to much about a Cat 2 but if that dry air disapears, someone is in trouble!

You can add the 00Z GEM to the list of central FL hits...looks to go in near the Cape.

There wouldnt be a power pole standing here in N Florida. The ground feels like a wet sponge and some residents lost power from the Ivan remnants
