Yes well atleast in the Central and Eastern United States. A ridge will be persistent over the Eastern US and will not allow any big troughs to drop South. A shortwave will come into the Central United States Tuesday that won't do much but maybe a bigger trough next weekend will. Right now that trough doesn't look to strong either.
Fall has to wait awhile.

A warm to hot week followed by sever weather for the central U.S. The warm wx will push north all the way to the great lakes area and east by mid week, with a storm system pushing down the west coast and expected to move east across the southern states will meet up with the warm moist troptical jet stream and cause sever weather from central Tx to the Ohio river valley out ahead of the cold front and low presure system by the coming weekend. High's are expected to reach the upper 80's to lower 90's in Texas and parts of OK, with mid to lower 80's and upper 70's from OK northward.

So Yoda. Have you ever ....well done any forecasts?
Yes, I have. In fact, I am still working on my winter forecast.
Cool I cant wait to see it
Hopefully I can have it out in about a week... I have to give some props to DT, Don, Usawx1 and a few others on here because I am using a few of their thoughts on El Nino and the WAR, and a few other things I didn't understand till now...

Thanks, Yoda. I'll be looking forward to seeing your thoughts on the winter.
BTW...when your making your winter forecast, keep an eye on the trend in the SSTA configuration over the North and Northeast pacific, it will give you clues as to how the pattern will evolve into december. the rest you already know.

And thats exactly what i am hoping for now that i am in a area more proned to getting lake effect. And as of right now things are looking good till atleast Halloween perhaps.A few If's but we will see. The trough looks to wanna hang out in the west But the nao may wanna counteract that some. We will see. Temps should atleast remain near normal thru Halloween in these parts anyways. The true cold air can wait till mid Nov when it will count most. Till then i dont want it.
