I am a duck. I hatched on a rainy Galveston day three years ago. I have feathers. I fly without fear. I dive in order to eat. I splash in puddles. I paddle like heck under the water while remaining unruffled on the surface. Most bad stuff glides off me like water on my back. Crackers are good. The sound I make doesn't echo because it falls through the quacks.

Hey, I'm only three...what did you expect -- a full-length autobiography?

Born in Arlington, TX in summer of 1980- we moved to Pittsburg TX (Dot on the East Texas map most people don't even blink before they're through it) and stayed there for 2 years. I did NOT adjust well to country living and was estatic when we moved to Houston in '91. Took to city living like a fish to water. Grew up in a southern baptist family- but my family put me through every denomination's bible camp in a 50 mile radius by the time I hit 12 (cheap childcare! Methodist, catholic, baptist, protestant! ROTATE! ;) ) and I actully broke from my family faith at 17. (Episcopalian now)

My parents scraped to get me into one of the 2 prestigeous and well to do high schools in the city. I love my parents for it more than they will ever know- but that's when I fully broke away from them and got heavily involved in the arts and literature. I was pretty much adopted by a rag tag group of other disenfranchised liberal-arts kids and we have been as close as family in the 8-10 years since I met them. I'm not very close to my fmaily anymore.... it's a lot like talking to strangers.

My husband came out of that band of friends (we met when we were 14! *laughs*) and we've been together for 7 years now- blissfully married for a year and a half and still eachothers best friend. I'm told the sparkle will eventully wear off- but that's what they told us when we started dating in high school and we're happier together now than we've ever been before. (That's my bridal portrait in the members gallary)

Hm. Aside from that I work for cancer doctors (billing department) but I'm quitting my job to finish my college degree August '05 (Looking like English with a minor in Arabic). I oil paint as a hobby (much to Alan's dismay- we have a 5 foot by 4 foot canvas in the living room right now on my easel) I love cats- especially my siamese Sebastian, and LOVE to travel. :)

My name is Perry....named after a former Georgia all-star HS football player (Perry Lee Dunn). Born and raised here in metro Atlanta....just turned 43 yrs of age.

Dad (Bill) is a native of Douglasville, GA....my late mother (Emma Fay) grew up in rural northeast Tennessee near Morristown. Sadly, mom passed away suddenly from a brain aneurism when I was just 16 :( Three sweetheart younger sisters...Becky's 39...she and I grew up together. Sis and her husband Dave live in Oregon (and the proud parents to my four precious little angels...Maddie, Nick, Jake, and little Gracie. Maria (stepsis) is 28; she and her husband Chris just celebrated the birth of their first baby...little Ryan is my youngest nephew. My baby sis (half-sis) Beth is twenty, and is a college student....both she and Maria live in metro Atlanta.

My background....grew up in a peaceful suburb of Atlanta. Excellent student...esp. subjects I liked (loved science & social studies/ geography; loathed math & language arts); always made honor roll until I reached H.S. After mom's tragic death, I quit high school and went to work fulltime...trying to forget (I was home sick from school the December morning the aneurism struck mom...alone with her :(
Earned my H.S. diploma via correspondence in Sept. 1978 (age 16); was working 50-60 hrs a week at age 17.

When I wasn't working or asleep, was diligently reseaching the weather, esp. severe local storms and tropical cyclones. Always a science enthusiast, my passion for weather began after tornado struck my family home near Atlanta in March 1974; combined with the infamous tornado "superoutbreak" only two weeks later, my fascination for severe weather quickly became a lifelong passion. I drove all over the southeast, studying past tornadoes and hurricanes in libraries, tv/ radio stations, and NWS offices; also began storm chasing at age 17.
Became certified Skywarn storm spotter in 1982.

Politics? I grew up in a home where dad didn't vote, and mom only once I can remember. There wasn't much political discussion in our home. Watergate angered dad; we were thrilled someone from Georgia was elected president in 76' (Carter)...that was about it politics-wise in my home.

I'm not a very political guy, but am definitely very conservative (as are most folks in this area). My father was both a Church of God of Prophecy minister and a certified law enforcement officer (also a Korean war vet), so I learned discipline, as well as respect for God, family, country, and the law early in life. Mom was the guiding force that molded me into a kind, courteous, chivalrous gentleman; I try to live my life as she lived her's...trying to make others feel better about themselves (but fail miserably compared to mom...she was loved by everyone).

Career-wise, I've worked most of my adult life in the security field (patrol & executive security); also had a brief career as a Provider Representative for EDS in Jackson, MS during the mid-90's. Gave up my career with EDS in 96' to return to metro Atlanta and care for my aging grandmother....the precious lady who took such good care of my oldest sister and I after mom's death. I love to write, and plan someday to publish books...about weather & storms, and possibly a novel or two as well (I've been told I have a very vivid "Stephen King" type imagination

I've never married, but do have a precious girlfriend. Traci teaches third grade at a christian school...she's a wonderful lady whom I've known since childhood (were best friends long before we began dating last year :)

I was born in Goldsboro, NC in 1982... both my parents were in the Air Force. I lived in a base house until the summer of 1989, when we decided to move to Buffalo, IA, my mom's hometown. My parents got divorced in 1994, and I stayed with my mom. Both parents got remarried in 1996. I graduated in the Class of '01, and have since spent my time having fun, and working my tail off! My dad just recently got divorced once again, although it is a friendly divorce, and my mom may be on the same track, she hasn't been happy for a while now! I can see my dad marrying again, but not my mom, as she says she's had enough of male bs! I'm dating a guy that I work with, his name is Justin and he's wonderful... so all in all I would say life is good! :D

A lot of females give their age over the internet...it just might be the age they were several years ago instead of their current age

Hi there... My name is Lisa, and I was born Jan 19 1976.. I have no problem admitting my age :)

I was born and raised in Rhode Island... I was born in Warwick, and grew up in North Smithfield...

I moved to the Houston area in 1989 because my parents were sick of the snowy winters... They didn't ask my opinion... I love the cold weather!

I have 3 kids.. Bryan who is 12, Chrisitan who is 9, and Samantha who just turned 1 ... They were all born in Texas.. Bryan was born in Katy, Christian was born in Ft. Hood, and Sammy was born in Sugarland...

I am happily married (sometimes)... Been married for 12 years... July of 92... I got married really young, when I was 16 and also had my first son when I was 16...

My mom passed a year ago September 13, and my baby was born September 26 2003... that was a really yucky year to say the least...

Really not too much else to yap about... I am an avid Patriots fan, and Red Sox fan! I love sports! uh... nuttin else.... ;)

Born in Wichita, Kansas way back when in 1951. Family moved to Gulf Breeze, FL. in 1954 to get away from the heat in Kansas(summer)and allergies that were tearing my dad up, to Tallahassee, FL in 1960(following Dad's desire to become a Met(never happened)), back to GB in 1967 for Dad's job. Graduated Woodham High School in 1969 and I moved to Houston to attend U of H and become an architect(which my dad was(never happened)). I met the love of my life(Susan-also born in Wichita in the same hospital) in 1971 and we have been madly in love for the last 33 years and married for almost that long. My Dad is the person who sparked my weather interest over the years and the internet made it an addiction. Two adult children are 25 yr old daughter and 21 yr old son. Son is still at home with us and daughter lives on her own here in Houston. We lost my dad to cancer in 1999 and my mom still lives in NW FL in Niceville.

Born in Baltimore, September 10th 1961, the youngest of seven and the only boy. While still in high school, I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on the delayed entry program, and left for basic training in Parris Island shorty after graduation. At 25 years old and with 8 years in the Marines, I met my future wife and soul mate for life, and decided to try and put the electronics education from my time in the service and my two years of correspondence courses to work and find a civilian position. I took a low paying job in electronic assembly with a small firm, and made it into something. 17 years, and 800 miles from where I started, I'm still with the same company.

I'm not excited about weather..fasination would be a better definition. It just amazes me every day. From the tropics to severe events...even to temperature variances between close reporting stations... I just can't get enough!
