Check your ballots well
1) Advice to those who haven't voted yet -- get a sample ballot from the newspaper or online, if you can, and review it before you go so you'll have made each and every decision beforehand and will be ready to cast your vote.
2) Advice to everyone, but especially to those planning to vote straight party ticket -- be sure to check your ENTIRE ballot and ensure that it is free from any stray marks or punches in other areas or on other pages.
3) As I said before, don't forget that some of you are not just voting for candidates alone this Tuesday, you're voting on certain proposals and city issues. Be sure to check those also.
Be safe, be calm, and be vocal -- GO VOTE!

We voted early on Friday. We waited 1.5 hours. The poll workers said they expect it to be 10x as bad on election day(that seems exaggerated). But in any case go prepared to wait and don't let the wait discourage you. Here in TX 2.4M voted early this year-far and away a record and in Harris County alone(where I live) 411,000 voted early-another huge record! My guess is that it is this way all over the country. It does my heart good to see so many interested in the elections. This is as it should be, minus the mudslinging, for every election.
