Hey Cappy...did you bring your musical talents along with you...or does that stay only in your wife's potting shed?

And..by the way, not only is Crouton here, but if you hang around long enough you'll get a glimpse of Slowpoke the Armadillo.

Hey, who ever won the canoe race back on that "other weather board?" Last I remembered I had lost the canoe in the underbrush!

Enjoy the time in the shed...but bring some music our way, won't you?

I'm not sure where I am going... it is still up in the air. I have to wait for the acceptance for Madison. Plus, right now there is too much going on with everything in my life. I'm in the process of pulling some strings at my internship to possibly stay at NBC 26 as a back-up (third) meteorologist.... but I have to talk with the news director today to see what he can do. Cross your fingers! Yes, for those of you that have been wondering... I am doing chroma key demos. LIVE experience, however, is the best experience one can get. I have to start somewhere.
Right now, there is only 2 mets at NBC 26... they are in the process of looking for the 3rd.

COLD AIR... my goodness... the low temperature last night was 17* frost on the ground, I had to scrape my windshield... oh yeah, that was fun. Tonight also, lows expected in the teens.

Happy Friday everyone :D

Who turned the heat OFF? Jeez, it's gotten
quite chilly, this evening! I came out of work
at 5pm with my short sleeves on, and, the
temp was in the upper 40°s. Now, hmmmm...
I'm a bit "hot-natured", as the old folks say,
but, it's hitting upper 30°s tonight, with 15-20
mph winds! Move over, would 'ya? I'm scootching
up to that stove, and, I do hope that Karan has
left some Earl Grey teabags to go with that
boiling pot of water.... ;)

Have a great night, folks!

GOOOOOD MORNING!

Hey......this place looks kinda familar? Where am I? OH YEAH....the PBS!!

HEY PBS buddies! How's everyone? Me, just DUCKY! I've got 3 minutes of down time from school "LOL!" so I thought I'd make a quick post, I "LOVE" quickies :hehe:

Not a whole heck of lot going on here, just study, study, study.....trying to make it through the 1st semister WHICH btw....is going GREAT, I'm still maintaining a 3.8 in one class and 4.0 in the other 8-)

Ya know, WHY IS IT that a met keeps their job when they are WRONG 99.99% of the time? :?: I mean, we had a SNOW ADVISORY for last night and not only didn't it SNOW, it didn't even RAIN :grr: Talk about blowing a FORECAST! Ya know, if you or I made as MANY mistakes in our job as the pro mets for the NWS do, we'd be FIRED on the SPOT  I KNOW, I KNOW, it's NOT an exact science but non the less SHEEESH!

ANYWAY. off the band wagon! Just thought I'd pop in fer a second to say HOWDY and see how everyone is doing! "JACKIE!" CONGRATS on the new BABY!!! BTW......have you figured out what CAUSES this condition? Ya know, I've heard tell that it's the WEATHER that's responsible :craz:

HOWDY PBS friends!

Weathermom - My brother, Daren, lived up in Alaska for two summers being an intern at a radio station and driving a taxicab. When the weather turned, he flew to Australia and trekked across the countryside living in hostels for a few months. He just got out of college and figured that he'd better do it now before he settled down.

Shannon - congrats and good luck at the school of your choice!

Joshua - That's great to hear that you are thinking of going back to school!

Dennis - I think that the weathermen blew it for Long Island and Boston last night/this morning. They're having snow right now! There's a winter storm right now in Southern Colorado and New Mexico. Hopefully some of that snow will blow into your area.

Hi Cappy! What's the PBS without you?

This is my first weekend home since the casino strike ended. It was great to say at work "TGIF" and really mean it!

Everyone keep warm around the stove. I've left some brownies on the counter - WATCH CROUTON though!!!

Thanks Stephanie, I'll take one of them with some Dew.

So how's everyone else this afternoon? Me, Okay...still a little bit upset about yesterday (if you hadn't seen it yet, it's here). But I will say things were better toward the end of the day. But just because things were better, don't mean I'm not still thinking of moving next year. I am, but only to make the transition from home to being on my own easier.

Cappy, what is the PBS without ya?? Good to have ya around, hope you will stick with us.

Dennis, hope ya get some snow for that drought so it will go away. Oh, :comment: on the quickies! LOL

Enough outta me, have a good afternoon!

Keep those grades up, Dennis! We're cheering
you on, wxbuddy! Now, as for Jacki, I wonder if
her condition might have been brought on by
those electric lemonades being TOO electric...?

;) (She knows we love her!)

Turning up the heat, tonight. By the way, I ordered
a thicker winter coat for this year, much to my
disliking, but, seemingly a necessity by looking
at all of the winter forecasts.

Ya'll have a great night!

Hey all - I'll be offline Thursday evening thru Sunday evening. Going to Chicago with a bunch of female relatives - xmas shopping! Yes, it's an annual trip and last year was my first time going. I had never taken time for just myself like that before, it felt good but strange. Other than a few religious retreats, I hadn't traveled w/o my family. So this year I'm going again. And no they're not shoving me out the door!!!! I secretly think they enjoy b/c it's different - let's order pizza, let's stay up past midnight....woohoo. For me, it's just a mini break, taking care of only myslef - something a mother just rarely gets a chance to do! I'll be running in many directions today - grocery shopping, laundry, ironing, packing, cleaning - so if I don't get in here again, I'll see you all on Sunday!

Have a good weekend everyone - although it's only Thursday. Feels like a Friday - I'll stop rubbing it in (honest, I was never the type to go away like this w/o the hubby and kids! I feel like a stranger!!!)

Just a quick stop to grab a couple of Chocolate KK's and a swig of that Earl Gray.

It's great to see you back JJ!! Stick around and chat with us.

My son is graduating Tech school on Friday and then it is off to the real world of earning a living. In fact I gotta pick up my Mom at the airport tonight since she is coming in for the Graduation and Thanksgiving.

Gotta run!

Have a Blessed Turkey day everyone!!

Thanks for the kind "re-welcome" everybody!

Things are going really well here. Keisha and I have an awesome relationship - she is so sweet and kind.

I am currently unemployed! I quit the rr because it was so intense. People threatening to kill people and all kinds of stuff.

YUK!!! :grrr:

But I am blessed and know that God is watching over me and will help me when it is His timing.

To all my friends here, dave says you all are a bunch of FINKS!

Uh, am I going to be banned now?

Sorry!

I am starting a Christian web ministry if anybody is interested in learning about it let me know. I think it will be awesome!

Oh, and no KK's for me, too much sugar! Howz 'bout some nice blueberry muffins and a nice cup of d-caf tea?
