Lake Havasu, always sees storms, lol, no matter what winter or summer system goes through, you always see them around there. anyway, I will start off by saying that thunderstorms will be likely this weekend in Lake Havasu, mostly saturday evening, and sunday morning, around that timeframe. As the system gets closer, and my models kick in, I will introduce more analysis. By the way. I am close friends with the Meteorologist In Charge at the Ontario Weather Service, not affiliated with NWS, but he and his team have a winter storm tracking map man. This map will update as the system nears, and you will see the storm track. Also, the system will be called Winter Storm Alex

Rivermike, If you want to see and read weather models, you can learn them very easily. I however use my own, and these, and blend them for a solution. But go here
http://weather.cod.edu/forecast/
Best weather models, and color coded for GFS AVN RUC, etc. To see storm systems, go to 500vort model. The more vort the better chance of rain or tstorms. This model shows upward air motion. You use this to spot incoming low pressure systems. Look between hr 85 and 104, that is the next system coming for the weekend! also look at 500T model. That model shows your "Cold Air Aloft", you hear on the news and radio alot. Well hope that helps, you can learn those easily.
