He lives in Canada, and thus Canada uses Celsius instead of Fahrenheit, like the United States.
-4 C would equal 24.8 F, so basically 25 F. Now, if that was his low, chances would be that he would have a high termperature at or above the freezing mark. Add that too some of the very wet, tropical storms possibly headed into B.C., and his snowpack would melt very quickly.
