Also -NAO is showing on Euro with a possible significant storm forming (Clipper) that COULD become 50/50 low and increase chances of SECS for NE JAN 22-26...........NOT only is the chance increased BUT it could be the best chance so far for a SECS in the urban NE (I-95) .......*IF 50/50 low is formed and the NAO is negative than this will not go out to sea like BIG DEC storm! Remember!

Now remember its just model ANALSYIS and what could happen! It could be just opposite but hope not.

Wxguy's outlook could be a winner. Lets hope!

The two most common ways for a 50-50 low to develop are A) System bombs out northeastward into SE Canada, stalls out and deepens. Or B) downstream blocking forces a clipper to deepen and stall. The third way is the PV sliding into the 50-50 low position.

its the event D7 which I'm looking at to become the new 50-50 low and send the NAO negative.

It would increase the chances for many snow-starved locations in the east, including PHL...

I'll be in Gatlinburg(TN Smokies) Next Saturday the 22nd through Tuesday the 25th, and I'm hoping for snow while I'm there. It looks cold at least. :)

Yes, I know that. But Don't ask questions about snow when its 7-10 days out... I mean, just take it easy on the snow questions, ok? That's all I meant, and sorry if I bothered you.

More like BECOMING a reality. The warm pool is virtually gone in the C ATL, and split is developing nicely. JUST in time to save my rump WRT the NAO going negative and the overall JAN 15-FEB 1 projection from late last month.

I can totally relate to your feeling of frustration Jrodd since I live in New Jersey. Yes, you can ask all the questions that you want, but there are alot of people that have already answered your questions in other posts. You need to read them and try and learn from them. If the questions are the same all the time, people are just going to ignore them.
