Piece of the puzzle

As the sun sets in the west, you can see the southern jetstream disturbance coming into Baja. Will it be a player this upcoming weekend?

If it phases with the arctic jet shortwave, the east coast storm this weekend will have more energy and moisture to work with.

There's no way that southern jet will catch up with the arctic jet and add moisture. It will be too late.

Ok I know it's the 18zGFS, but here is the POSSIBLE scenario.

Follow the little black x crossing from Baja into Texas then.....

Just thought I'd bump this back up. The Baja low is on the move east and will contribute to this storm.

But it is going to miss most of the storm in the US. It doesn't catch up to late IMO so maybe only the fringe of the East Coast catches it. That is the difference between a SECS and a MECS.
