Anyone watch Sunday Night? I was able to watch the whole thing in the hotel room. I loved it. My DVD recorder didn't record it though. :x

I officially hate George. I think he will kill Rex(or at least try). We have to wait until the 13th to see the next episode. :grr:

DH character and least favorite wife of all ~ Edie

I don't mind Edie. She amuses me. ("Boy, I'd really like to put that theory to the test.") I absolutely loathe Lynette, though. I am hard-pressed to think of a TV character that is so selfish and whiny. Holding up a line of cars waiting to exit a parking lot so you can grill your husband about whether he thinks the nanny is hot? Hugely selfish (and kinda like a sixteen year old making a public scene because her boyfriend isn't paying enough attention to her). Arriving late to a yoga class and whining (for the millionth time -- she should just make a tape recording and play it ad nauseum) that she should be granted special status even though all other mothers obey the rules? Selfish. Bringing a sick kid (with a cold -- not cancer, as she selfishly allowed the woman to believe so that she could get into the yoga class) to a daycare center where he could possibly infect the other children just so she could attend yoga? Rude and selfish. Throwing a bag of chips up the stairs and telling her kids to "fetch"? Bad parenting. And the list could go on and on. Ugh. Just ugh.

I love Felicity Huffman (I was a die-hard Sports Night fan). Unfortunately, she has been burdened with an exremely unlikeable character. I am always saying to the TV: "Just shut up, Lynette."

Finally watched this past Sunday's show.

First shock - Dana's alive. Or at least Zach's dad told him she was. And did anyone think it odd that Zach said DAD with such emphasis? Made me wonder if he's really his dad....that is one twisted family!

Second shock - Gabrielle with her ex's dad's flirting....oh come on! Shouldn't the man be outraged, instead of slightly amused or proud of his kid? He's throwing away a college scholarship!

Next....the Pharmacist. Seemed okay until he doctored the Rx. There goes Rex....wonder how long it will take to have him end up in the hospital again? This time Bree will forgive I think.

No Edie this week....or else I missed something.

SFgal - I can understand why Lynette annoys you. She should annoy me too. I'm a stay at home mom and love the job (although my kids are long past the ages of her children). I guess on some level I find her genuine - she clearly is barely hanging on and readily admits she can't handle her kids. There's a good review of last week's show at the watercooler column, at tvguide.com I think. Lynette and all her escapades are mentioned.

WOW... just WOW. Who all watched last night? If you didn't, you missed big time.

It starts out with Lynette getting a flowerpot the three kids reportedly made for Valentine's Day, there's flashbacks of other gifts she has gotten. She puts the pot on the porch for everyone to see and the next day Mrs. MCClusky, the old grouchy lady next door comes over and takes it off her porch and shows Lynette she really got it in Costa Rica on her last cruise.

Opening Credits

Then we see a shot of Wisteria Lane and it's the day before Valentine's Day, we see Carlos signing a romantic card, Rex bringing in roses and candy, Mike planning a date with Susan at a swanky restaurant, and Tom who has forgotten about the day all together. Then we see the ladies at a table talking about the latest Zach news and about killing his baby sister, they figure out that that's what Mary Alice tried to hide.

Next, we're in Paul's house, he's washing dishes, Martha Huber's sister comes in with a bunch of flowers for Mary Alice, delivered to her house by mistake. Paul tells her he forgot to cancel and that his wife passed away a few months ago. They then exchange "I'm so sorry for your loss", although Felicia seems to forget about Martha, going "Oh yes, her". We then see a picture of Mary Alice and Zach on the refrigerator behind Paul, she says "Oh my, that's Angela Forest, we worked together in Utah about 15 years ago". Paul says "I'm sorry, her name is Mary Alice and she's never been to Utah, you must be mistaken".

We then see Gabrielle demanding her agent book her a new job, says she quit because the man was making passes at her. Her and the maid then get into a fight, Gabrielle says "Clean that spot I told you to clean", the maid then says "Say Please", Gabrielle caves, and then says "Your back on the floor where you belong". Maid goes on a rant "Only reason you have anything is because your pretty, once you get old you'll have nothing." Gabrielle then says "Your so fired". The maid says "No kidding".

We then see Mike and Susan on the steps at Mike's house and he's opening a card from Susan, blah, blah, blah, then we hear Lynette telling her boys to "get back over here", Mike finds they are hiding in his bushes, after they say "We're going to get spanked", we then see Mike saying "Go ahead, there's a good chance you'll have the rest of the day to play", so he hauls the kids back to their house. Susan says "Very impressive", and then he says "I love kids, I want to have some one day". Susan falls to the ground.

We then see Lynette's kitchen. The boys are at a table and Lynette is setting our spanking tools from a belt to a hickory stick to a spatula, after they beg, she says "OK, if you promise not to do it again and write an apology to Mrs. McClusky, I'll let it slide". OK, OK, OK, they chant. So, she gets out notepads and is smiling. "Start with Dear Mrs. McClusky", with a smile on her face, one of the kids asking "Why are you smiliing", and she responds "Do you know what psychological warfare means", No the kid says, and she says "Well that's just too bad for you".

That's just the 1st 10 minutes... Later, Felicia finds out that it really was Mary Alice she worked with Utah, Susan freaks to Julie because she says she doesn't want another kid, and then Mike is going around the neighborhood looking for clues into that , one house there seems to be no one home, so he breaks in, is searching around, opens the door to one of the bedroom and there's an old guy in there with a gun, he fires, Mike then gets in his truck and speeds off. Doctors tell him to take it easy. We see Mrs. McClusky runs over the kids bike because it's in the street, this prompts Lynette to throw an egg and at her car and then at her face. Later we see Tom has uncovered a ton of stuff the kids have stolen from Mrs. McClusky, including some clock that Lynette had told her she probably misplaced at her old age. She tells Tom "Pack up, we're moving!" TGabrielle gets fired from the Mattress job for being stubborn. She goes to Victoria's Secret wanting a makeover and finds she can't even afford moisturizer. She then gets a job there and forgets to give a woman a receipt and then guess who walks up... THE MAID! She has to fix her makeup and stuff and the maid is loving it.

We then see the restaurant, Mike and Susan arrive, Susan is wearing a real skimpy dress. A guy is under the table because the thing is wobbling and Susan sees him right below her and causes a big mess, a waiter falls to the ground. Mike keeps a woman from falling, but opens up his stitches in the process. He sits down and Susan starts the "I don't want a child" discussion. The blood keeps getting worse and he's starting to pass out. He then says he has to go and Susan thinks it's because of the kid discussion, he walks not more than a few feet and collapses to the ground to reveal the blood.

We see Lynette and Tom discussing the neighbor's stuff, Tom wants her to go over and apologize and Lynette eventually caves.

We then see Rex getting into bed with Bree, Bree found out earlier that Rex likes to "dominated" and after Rex showed a video Bree said "What the hell did your mother do to you" :roflmao:. Rex brings out handcuffs and she still seems a little uncomfortable. They have a control word if one gets tired, they will back off immediately. Rex's was Philadelphia, Bree says her aunt lives there and she doesn't want to be thinking about her while she's beating him with a strap. So... Bree comes up with the word Boise and Rex says it's too funny, to come up with something more serious, she says "Palestine" and Rex says "Boise it is". So, Rex brings out handcuffs and he says "Strap me to the bed". She insists on washing them in the dishwasher first.

We then see Susan and Mike in the hospital, he tells the doctors the gunshot was self-inflicted. They are discussing the gunshot, he tells her his automatic went off. He then says "I don't want to lose you, if it means I won't be a father, I want to stay with you".

Lynette's boys go to the neighbor's to apologze, they come in her house and she lets them eat peanut brittle and tea, they see a picture of her son on the fireplace, she tells them he died when he was 12, got sick. She then says no one will ever love you as much as your mother.

Final scenes show Lynette coming over to Susan's with something from Mike's garage that the boys stole, it's Mrs. Huber's watch(that Paul placed in there before she was found). Susan's mood drops immediately thinking he killed Mrs. Huber because there is blood on it.

and then we go through the ending with Carlos hugging Gabrielle as she comes home from her job, Bree taking the handcuffs out of the dishwasher(the next day), Paul getting his mail and Felicia looking suspiciously at him, Mrs. McClusky mourning her son, and Susan looking out at the window as Mary Alice says "Sometimes when we find love, we wish we hadn't", and that's the end

So, I'm wondering -- how's Paul going to keep Mrs. Huber's sister quiet? He's already in enough deep doo-doo as it is.

And if Rex talks Bree into wearing a black leather bustier, I'm gonna bust a gut! "Fifteen-hundren dollars for a leather bustier?" Then again, she might be pretty cute in one. :)

I love, love, love Bree. ("Palestine" made me laugh out loud as did the actress' delivery of "huh?" when Tex admitted that he liked to be dominated.) Steven Culp and Marcia Cross both are superb at line deliveries and reaction shots.

I'm still not feeling any Lynette love, though. And if the spoilers posted by Brent about next week's episode come to pass, I think I'll like her even less (if that's possible). It's too bad, cuz I really do like Felicity Huffman.

Gotta ask: did Susan want everyone on Wisteria Lane to be her gynecologist when she chose to wear a dress that exposed her birthing organs?

Oh thank you all for the summaries. We had a power failure Sunday night...go figure. I wasn't home anyway (my mom fell and broke her arm Sunday afternoon, we were in the ER Sunday night). Yesterday I realized - I missed DH! When I have time I need to catch up on the stories.....

More spoilers... beware!

E! Online Chat transcript from 02/14

So, Mike and Susan are breaking up?
Yes. They break up because he gets pegged for Mrs. Huber's murder, he decides to come clean and write her a letter telling her everything about why he's on Wisteria Lane. He knocks on her door, but she doesn't answer, so he slides it under the door. Meanwhile, Susan and Edie are fighting over a new man in town, and they get into an accident which is Susan's fault. Edie comes over to give Susan a bill for the accident, and you'll never guess what she finds! Trust me, you'll be pulling out your hair on this one.

Regarding Doug Savant's big secret, is it something she would divorce him for?
Most definitely. And don't forget, Doug Savant is a guest star, not series regular, mis amigos.

Could you give us another hint about Tom Scavo's secret?
Anyone hear what Lynette said to him in last night's promo? "You're home less than half the time as it is." Very telling!

Is Jesse Metcalfe ever returning to Desperate Housewives? Kinda seems pointless, huh?
He's back this week, I believe.

Desperate Housewives news?
Bree's son won't be around much longer. He's sent off to a camp for juvenile delinquents after he's caught smoking pot

Please! One last bit about Desperate Housewives!
Zach's relationship with Julie isn't all it's cracked up to be. Look for a falling-out between those two. Also, his daddy smooches someone very soon

Why are Susan and Edie going to be fighting over another guy?

So, let me guess -- Tom (Doug Savant) is the one who we'll find out is gay. Makes sense -- he played the same role on Melrose Place.

Hmmmm...what could Edie find at Susan's house?

No... I don't think Tom is gay. I think he has another(what Lynette is). That would explain all his travelling.

I think Andrew's gay, Bree finds a condom in the house on Sunday's episode, Rex says it's not his and that he's not the only guy in this house, that only leaves Andrew UNLESS John and Danielle did it in the house and it's still around, but I think Bree would have found it well before now.

That's what I was going to say! He played this role on MP.

Haven't watched tonight's ep yet. We recorded it and watched the SNL First 5 Years Special instead. I'll hopefully catch it tomorrow. Feel free to discuss. I don't mind spoilers!

Missed last week's DH's show b/c we had a 2.5 hour power failure!

Mary

PS - my 17 year old daughter Nina says everyone is talking about 2 shows right now - the OC and DH. By everyone she means her friends at school and even teachers. DH sure came out of nowhere and became an instant hit! It's popularity reminds me of when Friends and ER came onto the scene....

OK... well, we found out Justin(John's friend) and Andrew are gay... Susan discovered them naked and ummm... together in Paul's pool.

We found out(and Susan did too) that Mike is a convicted felon, served 5 1/2 years in the Late 80's/Early 90's for drug trafficking and manslaughter.

Gabrielle and Carlos have decided they have to sell the house in order to make it, they talk of moving into an apartment to start over.

Julie finally found out Zach is completely creepy(what we've known for awhile) and he confided in her that he knew where Mary Alice hid her gun.

New Desperate Housewives episode tonight!

________________

TV Guide....

Desperate Housewives     [New]
9 pm/ET, ABC
You might need a scorecard for tonight's twisty visit, since there's a whole lot of shakin' going on. But between Lynette's bad boys, Maisy Gibbons' arrest and Rex's fall from grace, it's Zach Young who takes the cake for craziest week on Wisteria Lane. Unless that little secret Mrs. Huber's sister spills about his mother is just another (sorry, Mary Alice) dead end. — Damian J. Holbrook

Yes... I'm looking forward to it. I just hope I can watch after this tornado outbreak this afternoon/early evening.

I caught a repeat of the January 23rd episode last night(where Tom's father is having the affair)(I watched it on vacation but the sound was low and it didn't record here), so I finally got it recorded. 8-)
