TT...I agree about no frost tonight. The timing of this thing has moved up so much that clouds and mixing have eliminated that potential. I agree, bring on the rain. Once we get some rain under our belts, there could still be time for a late season cold spell. Nobody can say it's not possible in this whacked out year.
I still strongly disagree about calling a cooler than normal February summer. Whatever....
A total of 19 lows of 32 or below this month, and some of them were caused by cold air masses. We did get some Canadian fronts in here earlier this month. I have the maps to prove it...not Arctic, but cold.
Even Sea - Tac got 12 lows of 32 or below, and that is a POOR location for "fake" cold nights. Climatologists keep track of lows of 32 or below, so they are important. I would say growing a garden could be difficult when every night is freezing regardless fo the daytime temps....Hard to call it summer. By the way I noticed that North Bend even manged to go below freezing last night...according to the Schoolnet. I'll say, I could only hope to see lows like this in the summer! It would warn of one wicked winter on the way.
