Trace of snow in Richmond, mostly rain. Winter Weather Advisory issued for the area until 6 PM, but the changeover of any snow to rain is supposed to happen much earlier. Another bust for Richmond.
EDIT: As soon as I posted this, it started snowing very heavily. I doubt it will accumulate as it rained quite heavily overnight.

Yes, but look how far the precipitation shield has progressed through the area and we have no snow.

Precip in Richmond has stopped for now, but when it starts again it will likely be rain. We're below the rain/snow line now. If it had snowed instead of rained, we probably would have gotten at least 6 inches of snow, because we got close to an inch of snow on grassy areas in the 45 minutes or so that it snowed.

Snow just starting in Baltimore
The first few flurries are finally starting to make it to the ground here in north Baltimore city at 9:45 am. Is this drier than expected air going to cut back on our storm totals?

No,it just means lesser a chance of RAIN,and that the cold trough is already in place.
