Those aren't "mountains", at least not like the mountains in Eastern Cuba or the real mountiains on Hispaniola. Don't expect those to disrupt the hurricane very much if at all.
The real big mountains are in the eastern part of the island called LA SIERRA MAESTRA where some of the peaks are around 6,000 feet.

Im not seeing the mountains you guys are talking about. Heres a terrain map of Cuba with an MSpainted path that will be pretty close to the actual track. Should split the mountains (hills).
From looking at the latest loops, it appears the strongest NE quadrant winds will in fact hit that hilly area. May not be mountains, but I look for it to weaken much more than if it were hitting Cuba, say, 40 miles to the west.
Glad I'm not in the town of Cienfuegos, by the way.

Cienfuegos, Cuba is a pretty major city. It gonna slice right though the center of the island. This is a worst case for Cuba.
